This tutorial shows how to install StreamVault IPTV on Firestick and Android/Google TV devices.

StreamVault is a free live TV player built for Android TV that pairs well with any live TV service.
The player supports M3U URLs, local M3U files, Xtream Codes logins, and XMLTV guide data. It also includes a full EPG, built-in recording, favorites manager, parental controls, multi-view split-screen, and more.
We first heard about this live TV player from some Patrons in the TROYPOINT Insider, which is one of the best resources for cord-cutters.

StreamVault is available for installation on any Android-powered device that includes Fire TV and Android TV/Google TV boxes.
However, this app is not available in the popular app stores yet (Google Play, Amazon, etc.), so we will need to side-load the APK on our device. Below you will find installation tutorials, a feature breakdown, and our honest review.

7. Click Install.

8. Click Open.

9. Wait a few seconds for the StreamVault application to load. You will notice the different login methods for adding a live TV provider.

10. In this instance we added an M3U playlist URL. Enter the name and URL and then click Add Playlist.
TROYPOINT Tip: Here you will need to refer to your IPTV service login credentials. Typically they will provide login information for M3Us in your welcome email.

11. Wait a few seconds for your playlist data to import into StreamVault.

12. You are then directed to the Home screen of StreamVault and that’s it!

13. If you click the Live TV tab on the top menu this is where you’ll find all of your imported channels.

14. Before streaming content within the StreamVault IPTV app, we strongly recommend connecting to Surfshark VPN to hide your online activity and protect yourself from unverified IPTV developers.
See our VPN on Firestick/Android tutorial for more details and security tips.

Now continue below for our review and more details on the StreamVault app.
StreamVault Categories & Details
StreamVault keeps the home screen simple and its main menu includes Live TV, Movies, Series, Guide, Search, and Settings.

The Live TV tab is where you can access all of your channels sorted by categories. Simply click on any channel to start playing it.

You can also add channels to favorites as there is a dedicated ‘Favorites’ category.

Full screen mode works great on this live TV player. You can activate full screen by double clicking a channel.

You also have the ability to stream several channels at once with multi view. Typically this is a feature we see in premium live TV players!

The Movies and Series tabs are where you can access video-on-demand content if your live TV provider offers it.

The TV Guide (EPG) also works great and the listing details will depend on what your live TV provider offers.

StreamVault also offers a ton of settings you can customize for playback, browsing, privacy, recording, EPG sources, and more.

For recording, StreamVault lets you use your device’s internal storage or point it to a custom folder, which is rare in a free live TV player.

To better sum this up, the notable features within the StreamVault app include:
- Xtream Codes login
- Combined M3U profiles
- Full EPG grid with catch-up
- Built-in DVR recording
- Multi-view split-screen
- Parental controls
- Global search
- Favorites and recently watched
- Continue watching for VOD and series
- Google Cast sender
- Android TV integrations
- Support for 26 languages
StreamVault is fully free with no paid tier or premium features. The developer accepts optional donations, but every feature above ships in the public APK. You can view the official GitHub Repository for more details.
StreamVault IPTV Review
While StreamVault is a newer live TV player, we were very impressed and it seems promising for the long term. Here is what our testing revealed:
What We Like
- Completely free with no paid tier, no ads, and no locked features behind a paywall
- Xtream Codes, M3U URL, and local M3U file support plus combined M3U profiles for merging providers
- Open-source project with public release history and active log on GitHub
- VirusTotal scan came back clean with zero flagged files
- Full EPG grid view with XMLTV guide data, program search, and provider catch-up or replay streams
- Built-in DVR with scheduled recording, background capture, and in-app playback for finished files
- Multi-view split-screen for watching several channels at once
- Parental controls with PIN-locked categories and automatic adult content flagging
- Favorites, recently watched, custom groups, and channel reordering give full lineup control
- Over 25 supported languages
What We Don’t Like
- Not available in the Amazon Appstore or Google Play, so sideloading is required
- Initial setup takes more patience than simpler players like IPTV Smarters
- Support runs entirely through GitHub Issues since there’s no Discord or developer contact channel
- Project is newer with only 84 GitHub stars, so long-term maintenance is unproven
- This player is mostly optimized for Android TV, so Android phones and tablets work but receive lower priority
- Font sizes run small on smaller screens per user feedback in our Insider forum
- Version 1.0.6 has a reported bug where the in-app updater breaks the app, requiring a full reinstall
Is StreamVault APK Safe to Use?
The best way to determine the safety of 3rd party apps is by scanning them with a virus checker such as VirusTotal.

As you can see, the StreamVault application is clean which is always a plus when using unverified 3rd party apps such as this.
However, users should still proceed with caution using protective measures such as a VPN which will encrypt your online connection and make you completely anonymous.
Final Thoughts from Troy
Finding a live TV player with no paid tier, no ads, and no locked features feels rare these days, which is why StreamVault stood out during our testing.
The user interface is clean, the main features work reliably, and the open-source nature means you can verify exactly what runs on your device, though the newer project status means a few rough edges are worth watching.
